Leya relocated to NYC and is pursuing new artistic opportunities, including new play and musical development.

Leya performed her one woman show, My Sexual, Spiritual Awakening to a sold-out audience at Dixon Place in New York City.

Leya had a great first #Oneillsummer experiencing 3 new musicals, 8 new plays, 2 new puppetry shows, and 10 new cabaret performances. She was able to participate in workshop readings for playwrights Celine Song and Jeremy O'Harris.
Leya read stage directions for Beth Henley's new play, Lightning, as part of the National Playwrights Conference at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center. The cast featured Marin Ireland, Maggie Lacey, and Michael Lawrence, and was directed by Wendy C Goldberg.
New work, new work, new work!
Leya participated in a developmental workshop of At The Barre, a new mime musical written by Steven Meeker, Jr. as part of their residence at Access Theater in NYC.
Leya joyfully played the role of TBD in Hansol Jung and Brian Quijada's new musical, The Undesirables currently commissioned by Seattle Repertory Theater.
Leya got to participate in a staged reading of Til Soon, Anne with lyrics and book by Christine Toy Johnson and music by Bobby Cronin while they were in residency at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center.

Leya accepted her first job after college and moved to Waterford, CT to spend the 2017-2018 season at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center. She is overjoyed to be on the campus of the birthplace of American theater where so many amazing artists have come to develop new work.
Leya graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Arts in Drama, Honors in Music Theater, and an emphasis in creative writing. She is grateful to have spent the last four years learning, growing, creating, and performing.
Join Leya as she presents her self-devised one woman cabaret titled "What's In A Woman?" A one night only event, Leya will be exploring the roles of women in musical theater, how she sees herself in the many different character roles, and what it might all mean. A very special project as it is a culmination of her time studying at UC Irvine.
On May 13, Leya and 3 of her graduating classmates are presenting their own written work in the form of a cabaret, titled "You Will Be Found". They will be bearing their souls and stories and hope you can make it!
Leya got to participate in her first drag show experience, acting as the voice for Miss Jenn Trification. All proceeds will go to UCI's LGBT Center
Leya is so excited to originate the role of Queen Juana of Castile in the world premiere of the new musical, Madwomen. She is so excited to tell this story of the last queen of Spain who was deeply misunderstood during her time, based on the men who controlled her life.
